Transparency: Zugrow publishes this blog, and Zugrow is one of the tools compared below. We've kept the comparison factual and said where other tools do a different job better, but read it with that context in mind.
If your Airbnb listing isn't converting, the first thing to do is find out why, and you shouldn't have to pay to learn that. Below we compare the free options worth knowing about in 2026: what each one gives you without paying, and where the catch is. We based this on what each provider publishes, checked in October 2026. Free tiers change, so check before you sign up.
Here are four options worth your time, and what each is genuinely good for.
The Best Free Airbnb Analyzer Tools Compared
1. Zugrow Free Listing Score: Most Useful Free Output

Zugrow's free listing score analyses your live Airbnb listing and returns a 100-point score in under 60 seconds. You get a red, amber or green verdict for six categories (title, description, photos, amenities, trust and competitive positioning), with the specific issues holding each one back, and a copy is emailed to you. There is no account to create and no credit card.
The free score tells you where you are losing points. If you then want rewritten copy and step-by-step fixes, Zugrow's paid expert listing reports go further, but you don't need them to get a usable answer.
From our own portfolio: The listing photos across our roughly 24 Manchester short lets were taken on a smartphone. If yours were too, look for feedback you can act on with the camera you already have, such as the hero shot, lighting and photo order, rather than a blanket "hire a photographer".

2. Airbnb Insights: Free and Already in Your Account
Airbnb's own Insights area is the most overlooked free analyzer. Under Insights, then Performance, then Conversion, you can see first-page search impressions, how many guests clicked through to your listing and how many booked, and compare your figures with similar listings by region or category. Other sections cover views, occupancy and rates. If you don't see the Performance tab, Airbnb says you need to opt in to its professional hosting tools, and Insights only starts showing data once you have had your first booking.
Insights tells you where in the journey guests drop off. It doesn't tell you why, which is where a listing review helps.
3. AirDNA Free Tier: Best for Market Data (Not Listing Audits)

AirDNA is best known for short-term rental market data. Its free tier gives you a limited view of market performance and revenue estimates, which is useful for understanding demand and pricing where you are. It doesn't audit your listing's content, and fuller data sits behind paid plans. Use AirDNA to understand your market; use something else to score your listing.
4. Rankbreeze: Powerful, but Not Free
Rankbreeze focuses on tracking where your listing ranks in Airbnb search. It isn't free: its pricing page says plans start with a 14 day trial for $1, followed by a paid plan priced by the number of properties. It's worth a look if you want ongoing rank tracking, less so if you only want a one-off diagnosis.
Which Free Tool Should You Use?
If you want one honest answer to the question "what's wrong with my Airbnb listing?", start with the Zugrow free score. Of the tools here, it's the only one that scores your specific listing and shows what is holding it back, without a credit card or a paid trial.
Then open your Airbnb Insights to see where guests drop off. Once you have both, AirDNA's free market data is a useful extra for benchmarking against your local market.
